2 years in a row taking home the top spot doesn’t happen easily. With the talent that’s out on the course all weekend, you’ve gotta be doing something right to take 1st place. Check out some of the gnarly stuff Hatchell was doing all weekend long.

Always a fun one to watch, Oscar Meza didn’t dissapoint this weekend and Skateboard.tv took notice. Here is Oscar Meza’s Standout Clip.

It’s getting really hard to pick which PHXAM after party of the 11 years of doing them is my favorite. Bad Brains with the Goat in 2010 might have to be my personal choice but this year is up there on the list with the Goat returning to play with No Age, Radio Moscow, The Growlers and a bunch of other sick bands along with jams coming from Cardiel and DJ Horsepussy… this was the full lineup.

The night started with Shane, Spanky, Beagle, Atiba, and The Boss doing their Goat thing which is always insanely entertaining and it set the pace for the night.

Radio Moscow, who us at Cowtown are huge fans of, followed The Goat and brought things up yet another notch. The crowd got a tad out of hand breaking down barricades, bringing down tents, you know, the usual PHXAM after party stuff.

The Growlers came on stage next and calmed things down a bit just to bring it all back up to speed with No Age. After that, we had to get all the youngens home and ready for day 2 at the contest, but the 21 and ups went inside the bar and partied to a slew of bands until the night finally ended.  A Huge thanks goes out to all the bands for coming and playing, Jeremiah and Stateside, Black Star Beer, PBR, The Yucca Tap Room, and an extra thanks to Altamont!

It’s been an amazing weekend out here at the park and it ended with Ben Hatchell taking the top spot for the second year in a row. Jack Olson took the $2,500 Skullcandy best trick with a perfect nose grind nollie flip on the Skullcandy rail.
Congrats Ben on back to back wins at PHXAM.

The gates are open and the line is still growing. 2 guys never left the park and stayed over night to be first in line for today. Of course we have to reward this kind of dedication.
