Dashawn Jordan skated a nearly flawless run today in Qualifiers and secured himself a well deserved spot in Sunday’s Finals. He’ll get to rest up while everybody battles the heat in Semi-Finals starting at 11am Sunday.

The 2016 PHXAM Qualifiers presented by Vans went down on Saturday April 2nd with over 200 of the best ams from around the Globe. The weather in Phoenix was absolutely perfect, the skating was on a whole new level, and there an epic surprise that ended the amazing day

The 2016 PHXAM Skateboard Contest presented by Vans is coming to Desert West Skateboard Plaza in Phoenix April 2nd-3rd! The world’s top amateur skateboarders will unite in Phoenix on Saturday April 2nd for Qualifiers. The top 40 from Day 1 will advance to the Semi-Finals to battle it out for over $8,500 in cash and prizes! Immediately following the Finals, all participants will be eligible to skate in the Red Bull Best Trick Contest for a chance at $2,500 cash! PHXAM will begin at 10am Saturday, with a LIVE webcast Sunday right here at PHXAM.com

The level of skating continues to escalate each year and this past weekend these guys handled Desert West and the new props with ease while battling it out for the $8,500 cash purse. In the end it was Jack Olson taking 1st place overall and Phoenix’s own Dashawn Jordan winning the $2,500 Red Bull Best Trick.

Jack Olson absolutely killed it all weekend long out at Desert West Skatepark and this Finals run solidified his spot at the top of the podium. Congratulations Jack!
